Indian stock markets trimmed their losses over the last hour of today's trading session and managed to end with minor cuts. The BSE Sensex closed at 58,191.29, down by 30.81 points or 0.05 per cent while the Nifty50 settled down by 17 points or 0.10 per cent at 17314.65. In the 30-share Sensex, 13 stocks were trading in the green at the closing time while the remaining 17 stocks were in the red. Eighteen stocks advanced in the 50-stock Nifty50 while 32 declined.

In the 30-share Sensex, 18 ended in the red while 12 were trading in the green at the closing time.

Sensex Top Gainers:

1) Titan shares ended at Rs 2730.50, up 5.27 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

2) Power Grid Shares ended at Rs 209.30, up 1.45 per cent on the BSE from the Thursday closing price.

3) Indusind Bank Shares ended at Rs 1213.40, up 1.06 per cent on the BSE from the Thursday closing price.

4) NTPC Shares ended at Rs 164.30, up 0.95 per cent on the BSE from the Thursday closing price.

5) Maruti Suzuki Shares ended at Rs 8782.95, up 0.93 per cent on the BSE from the Thursday closing price.

Sensex top Losers:

1) Mahindra & Mahindra Shares ended at Rs 1239.25, down 1.37 per cent on the BSE from the Thursday closing price.

2) Ultratech Cement  Company Shares ended at Rs 6204, down 1.29 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

3) SBI shares ended at Rs 530.35, down 1.28 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

4) TCS Shares ended at Rs 3064.95, down 1.28 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

5) Bajaj Finance Shares ended at Rs 7342.95, down 0.79 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

In the 50-share Nifty50, 27 stocks advanced while 23 declined.

Nifty50 Top Gainers:

1) Titan Shares ended at Rs 2730.20, up 5.30 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

2) Power Grid Shares ended at Rs 209.30, up 1.45 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

3) Grasim Industries ended at Rs 1702.80, up 1.17 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

4) NTPC Shares ended at Rs 164.80, up 1.17 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

5) ONGC Shares ended at Rs 134, up 1.02 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

Nifty50 Top Losers:

1)  Tata Consumer Products Shares ended at Rs 781.20, down 1.65 per cent on the NSE from the Thursday closing price.

2)  BPCL Shares ended at Rs 307.50, down 1.49 per cent on the NSE from the Thursday closing price.

3)  Mahindra & Mahindra shares ended at Rs 1240, down 1.34 per cent on the NSE from the Thursday closing price.

4)  Ultratech Cement Company Shares ended at Rs 6205.55, down 1.30 per cent on the NSE from the Thursday closing price.

5) SBI Shares ended at Rs 531, down 1.17 per cent on the NSE from the Thursday closing price.  

Sumeet Bagadi of Choice Broking picks two stocks - one each from top Nifty50 gainers and losers to spell out his strategy on the stocks. Another analyst Nilesh Jain also took his picks to give strategy on two stocks - one each from gainers and losers.

Titan : Buy| LTP: Rs 2,730.20| Target: Rs 2830| Stop Loss: Rs 2670| Upside 4%

Bagadia suggested a buy on Titan shares for a price target of Rs 3830. He said that the stocks can be bought at current levels. The stock was up over 5 per cent on Friday and has been on an upward trajectory over the last three trading sessions.

BPCL which was among the top 5 losers, today is set for a further decline to levels around Rs 300, Bagadia said. The stock ended at 307.50 on the NSE and was down bt Rs 4.65  or 1.49 per cent from the Thursday closing price.
