Stock Market Holiday November 8: Stock market will remain closed on Tuesday, November 8 on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti and Kartik Purnima. Both the leading stock exchanges -- the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will remain shut for trading between from 9:15 to 3:30 pm on Tuesday.

November 8 is the last stock market holiday in 2022. There will be no stock market holiday after this.

Gurpurab commemorates the birth of Guru Nanak Dev, the first guru of Sikhism. It will be celebrated as Guru Nanak Dev Ji's 553rd birthday. This auspicious occasion is marked on the full moon day of the Kartik month, also known as Kartik Purnima.

The markets will resume normal trading from Wednesday, 9 November, 2022.

The Indian stock market was closed earlier this month on October 5 (Wednesday), October 24 (Monday), and October 26 (Wednesday) in observance of Dussehra, Laxmi Pujan, and Diwali Balipratipada, respectively.

As per BSE holiday calendar, there are 13 declared trading holidays during the calendar year 2022.
