With so much action going on day in and day out and so many triggers working overtime, it was quite surprising that the stock market closed flat today. Be that as it may, market expert Ashish Kukreja while talking to Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi on the Special Mid-cap Picks show was quite bullish on certain stocks. Kukreja today, recommended three stocks and these are GE Shipping, Snowman Logistics and Wonderla Holidays as his long-term, positional and short-term picks. Notably, BSE Sensex closed at 44618 today, 37 point down while NSE Nifty was up 5 points and ended the day at 13114.

Long term mid-cap pick: GE Shipping  

Ashish said that he likes GE Shipping from the shipping Industry as this is the best pick from shipping sector. He believes that there is absolutely no downside on this stock from current levels. The company is a beneficiary of global recovery and will do well from here on. The stock seems to be in a good uptrend. GE Shipping is going to be the key beneficiary of this. Even if there is some profit booking in this stock, later on there would be some buying emerging in this stock. The stock is extremely attractive at current levels and is trading at half of its book value. The management of the company is extremely strong and so are the cash flows of the company. Investor can see targets of Rs 375 – Rs 400 in this stock in next 6 months to 1 year. Ashish believes that shipping sector has underperformed and will see good rally from here on.  

Positional mid-cap pick: Snowman Logistics  

Ashish highlights that logistics sector will see some good movement on the positive side. He likes Snowman Logistics in this space. This company is largest in cold storage and warehousing. Adani group has bought some stake in this company and the way stocks of Adani Group are moving it seems Snowman Logistics will also move from here. This is the only company which is ready for the vaccine transportation while other logistics company are not even ready. This space is a big opportunity for Snowman Logistics. Ashish believes Rs 75 – Rs 80 will be his conservative targets on the stock and can even move higher from those levels as well.

Short Term mid-cap pick: Wonderla Holidays 

Picking this stock, Ashish said that it is the best play and the only company in the theme park space. Assets of the company are equivalent to the market cap of the company. All the theme parks are built on company’s own land. The company is debt free. The company will be the key beneficiary in this theme, further 3 to 6 months down the line as things normalizes. The promoters of the company are the same who manages V-guard Industries. The management of the company is extremely strong. During tough times of Covid, in spite of Zero Revenues the company has shown some profits due to some variable component. Analyst community is indeed extremely happy with the management of the company. Bangalore theme park has now been started with some restrictions. Valuation of the company is extremely attractive for short term and can double in next years from current levels. See good upside in the stock and target of Rs 300 seems possible going forward.
