The Indian markets on Tuesday extended the winning streak amid positive global cues as the Sensex jumped over 500 points and the Nifty50 traded above the 17200-mark intraday.

At around 1:30 pm, the BSE Sensex surged over 433 points or 0.75 per cent to the 57851 level, and the Nifty50 gained over 132 points or 0.78 per cent to 17218 level intraday today.

Outperforming the benchmarks, the broader markets such as mid and small-cap each up over 1 per cent intraday. Similarly, the Nifty Bank, one of the key contributors of the Nifty, jumped over 168 points or 0.46 per cent to 35217 intraday today.

As many as 46 stocks are advancing, and 4 are on a declining trend on the Nifty50. Asian Paints surged the most by over 2.5 per cent, followed by Ultratech Cement up over 2 per cent intraday. Similarly, Titan, M&M, L&T, NTPC, Coal India, Eicher Motor, each up around 2 per cent.

On the contrary, Power Grid declined most in otherwise positive market on Tuesday, down nearly 1 per cent, followed by IndusInd Bank, Dr Reddy's and Cipla each down marginally.

All sectors are in the green today, wherein Nifty IT and Auto are surging most by over 1 per cent followed by Nifty Metal, Banking and financial indices intraday today. Similarly, Nifty Realty and Media are also aiding most to the broader markets as each up over 1 per cent intraday.
