Domestic stock markets made a strong start on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, tracking firm cues from their Asian peers. At 12:21 pm, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading 636.40 points or 1.31% higher at 49,200.67 and Nifty 50 at the NSE was trading 185.15 points or 1.3% higher at 14,466.45. Bajaj Finserv (up 4.94%)and Bajaj Finance (up 4.33%) were the top Nifty 50 gainers and were followed by Grasim and Tata Motors which were trading with a gain of more than 3.60%. Meanwhile, there are certain stocks which were in action in either direction based on reports linked to them. Here is a list of few such stocks:

India Cement (Up 4.77%): The promoter of Avenue Supermarts and billionaire investor Radhakishan Damani, along with brother Gopikishan S Damani, have hiked stake in India Cements during the December 2020 quarter. Radhakishan Damani increased stake in the firm by 0.54% in the third quarter of FY21 and Gopikishan S Damani has increased stake by 0.2%.

CSB Bank (up 2.10%): The capital adequacy ratio improved from 19.69 per cent as on September 2020 to 21.02 per cent as on December 31, 2020. 

Real Estate Stocks+ Housing Finance Companies (HFCs): Stocks of real estate and HFCs, like Godrej Properties (up 3.27%), Phoenix Mills (2.06%), DLF (up 5.66%), Indiabulls Housing Finance Limited (up 6.06%), Magma Fincorp Ltd (up 1.72%) among others, were quite bullish today. 

IRFC IPO: The Rs 4,633 crore IPO of Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) was subscribed 0.88 times till 12:30 pm, on the second day of subscription.

Torrent Pharmaceuticals (up 5.09%): Torrent is performing well after Goldman Sachs initiated coverage on the drug maker.
