In response to Anil Singhvi's questions, Ashish Chaturvedi said, "The market sentiment is very positive. If you go back around 2 years, WHO advised every country in support of the travel ban and lockdown and considered complete lockdown as the only solution to curtail the coronavirus.

"But, now WHO has explained that the spread of COVID can't be stopped by travel ban or lockdown, but only vaccination can help control the spread of the virus and its new variant," Ashish added.

Citing WHO data and statements, Ashish explained why the travel ban is not the solution. He said, "Looking at how the world implemented several restrictions on South Africa after Omicron showed up. There is a high chance that many countries will try to hide if a new variant like Omicron emerges." "Countries need to disclose the information to the world in order to fight the pandemic," Ashish added.

Ashish also talked about how the Maharashtra government has implemented stringent restrictions for international and domestic travellers. Which may have impacted the tourism sector sentimentally.
