Equity benchmarks, Nifty and Sensex, were trading near the flat line in the noon deals of Wednesday, December 29, 2021. At 12:27 pm, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading 85.53 points, or 0.15% lower at 57,811.95. The Nifty 50 index was 29.15 points or 0.17%, down at 17,204.10. PSU Banks: Trading with a fall and Nifty PSU Bank index was trading at a loss of 0.40%. Stocks like Indian Bank - down 0.96%; PNB - down 0.67%; SBI - down 0.61% and Maharashtra Bank - down 0.51% were trading in negative territory.

Realty Stocks: Trading with a fall and the Nifty Realty index was trading at a loss of 0.26%. Stocks like Phoenix Mills - down 3.25%; Sun Teck Realty - down 2.21%; Brigade Enterprises - down 1.23% and IB Real Estate - down 0.60% were trading in negative territory.

Oil & Gas Stocks: Trading with a fall and Nifty Metal index was trading at a loss of 0.62%. Stocks like GAIL - down 1.35%; ONGC - down 1.33%; Hindustan Petroleum - down 1.04%; Gujarat Gas - down 0.98% and Indian Oil - down0.76% were trading in negative territory.

AU Small Finance Bank: Up 2.20%. The Board of Directors of AU Small Finance Bank Limited has appointed former RBI Deputy Governor H R Khan, as Non-Executive Independent Director (Additional Director) on the Board of the Bank with effect from December 28, 2021, for a period of 3 years, subject to the approval of Shareholders.

Equitas Small Finance Bank: Up 2.80%. Board of Directors of the Bank has approved the proposal for re-appointment of Vasudevan P N as the MD & CEO of the Bank, for a further period of three years, with effect from July 23, 2022, up to July 22, 2025 (both days inclusive), subject to the approval of the Reserve Bank of India and the Shareholders of the Bank. 

Apollo Hospitals: Up 1.98% Jammu & Kashmir Administration on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the world-renowned healthcare company Apollo Hospitals for the establishment of a multi-speciality hospital in Jammu.

G R Infraprojects: Up 1.51%. The company has emerged as an L-1 bidder in the Financial Bid Opening dated December 28, 2021, for the tender invited by Noida Metro Rail Corporation Limited. The bid project cost stands at Rs 592.99 crore and the project will be completed within 24 months.

Mazagon Dock: Up 1.51%. The Board of Directors of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited on Tuesday approved the declaration of Interim Dividend @ 71.00% being Rs 7.10 per equity share aggregating to Rs 143.20 crore to be paid out of the profits of the Company for FY 2021-22. The Board has declared Friday, 07 January 2021 as the record date for reckoning eligibility of shareholders for the purpose of payment of Interim Dividend. 

Indo Amines: Up 1.49%. The company has fixed January 15, 2021, as the record date for Stock Split (Sub-Division). Upon sub-division, each share having a nominal value of Rs 10 will be sub-divided into two equity shares having a nominal value of Rs 5 fully paid-up equity shares.

Natco Pharma (up 1.73%)/Dr Reddy's (up 1.80%): It has received approval for COVID-19 drug Molnupiravir Capsules 200 mg. for the Indian market, which will be sold under brand name MOLNUNAT. Dr Reddy's Laboratories has also received DCGI approval to launch Molnupiravir capsules 200mg (Molflu) in India. Molnupiravir is the first Covid drug authorized by Drugs Controller General {India) (DCGI) for the treatment of COVID-19 infection with Sp02>93% and who have a high risk of progression of the disease including hospitalization or death.

* MTNL: (down 4.88%): The shares of telecom services provider, MTNL, hit fresh 52-week high on the BSE in Wednesday's intraday trade for the third consecutive day after the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on Monday identified 13 prominent cities for the 5G rollout.
