For Traders : Derivatives Data Analysis
Nifty went above 13000 for the first time in the early hours of trade. All sectoral indices close in the green zone with a gain of 1-2%. Stocks like ADANIPORTS, AXISBANK, HDFCBANK, EICHERMOT and HINDALCO were top gainers that rose by 3-4% while stocks like TITAN,HDFC, BPCL and NESTLE were top losers that fell by 0.50-1%. The Nifty closed at around 13078 levels with a gain of 1.11%.
Nifty ends above 13000 for the first time: Nifty November futures closed yesterday at premium of 7.30 points versus premium of 7.90 points. The market added Rs 15,503 cr in open interest, taking the total open interest in the F&O segment to Rs 501240 cr. The Nifty call option shed 12.87 lakh shares in open interest and the put option added 97.35 shares in open interest.
Market commentary:
In line with positive cues from global markets, the benchmark indices opened with a gain of around 40 points. Nifty went above 13000 for the first time in the early hours of trade. All sectoral indices close in the green zone with a gain of 1-2%. Stocks like ADANIPORTS, AXISBANK, HDFCBANK, EICHERMOT and HINDALCO were top gainers that rose by 3-4% while stocks like TITAN,HDFC, BPCL and NESTLE were top losers that fell by 0.50-1%. The Nifty closed at around 13078 levels with a gain of 1.11%.
Daily view:
About 6.97 lakh shares were added in open interest with an increase in prices this indicates that long build-up was observed by market participants. On the options front, the volatility index increased by 1.25%.

RBLBANK (34%), AMARAJABAT (24%), RAMCOCEM (22%) CANBK (22%) and IDEA (19%) were the top gainers in terms of open interest. BANKBARODA (-20), NESTLEIND (-18%), COFORGE (-17%), MFSL (-14%) and BALKRISIND (-13%) were the top losers in terms of open interest. Overall futures & options volumes currently stand at 250.67 lakh contracts, with a turnover of Rs 2051382 cr. Volumes in the F&O segment were lower as compared to the previous trading session.
