Muhurat trading is the auspicious one-hour trading session conducted by leading stock exchanges—Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE)— on the occasion of Diwali. Diwali Muhurat Trading is a symbolic and old ritual that has been retained and observed for ages by the trading community. As Diwali also marks the beginning of the New Year, it is believed that muhurat trading on this day brings wealth and prosperity throughout the year.

7:15 pm: The Indian Share market opened in the green and closed on a positive note too as Nifty, Sensex closed with loss of only a few points. Both indices closed with nearly 0.50% gains. Nifty settled for  17,916.80, up 87.60 or 0.49%, while Sensex closed with nearly 300 points gain at 60,067.62, up 295.70 or 0.49% on Diwali Muhurat Trading 2021.

6.20 pm: Auto shares outperformed in the open as Eicher Motors and Tata Motors became top Nifty toppers. Bank Nifty started at 39,669.10, with gains of over 250 points on Muhurat Trading day

6:15 PM: Nifty and Sensex both gained over 0.50% in the open for auspicious one-hour trading session today. Nifty opened at 17,935.05, while Sensex at 60,207.97 for Diwali trading. On Muhurat Day trading, Nifty opened close to 18,000, while Sensex was above 16,200. Nifty gained 104.00 points or 0.58% to open at 17,935.05. Sensex  opened at 60,207.97, and was rading at 60,145.22, up 373.30 points or 0.62%.

6:08 PM: Sensex opens above 16,200. In Muhurat trading, S&P BSE Sensex opend with gains of ove 436.05 or 0.73% at 60,207.97. 

6:00 PM: Sensex was up nearly 600 points in the pre-open with 29 shares adavncing on 30-share Sensex
