As many as seven companies’ shares witnessed a change of hands through bulk deals on Tuesday, wherein Shrenik Limited company’s shares saw the maximum buzz, followed by CL Educate Limited.

Individual investor Abdul Azees bought 36,37,515 equity shares in Shrenik Limited at Rs 1.95 per share on the NSE, according to the bulk deals data.

Whereas Vanderbilt University picked up 4,14,000 equity stakes in CL Educate Limited from BNP Paribas Arbitrage at Rs 94.95 per share on the NSE, the bulk deals data showed.

Other individual investors such as Nanalal Bhanji Dudhaiya bought 42,000 equity shares in Debock Sale Marketing Ltd at Rs 75.91 per share and Prashanth Shenoy picked up 70,800 equity shares in Shiva Mills Limited at Rs 108.65 per share on the NSE, the bulk deals data portrayed.

Meanwhile, Vivek Jain HUF dumped 81,000 equity shares in Focus Lighting & Fixtrs at Rs 46.36 per share, and Goenka Business Finance Limited picked up 1,92,000 shares in Kotyark Industries Ltd at Rs 50.97 per share on the NSE, as per the bulk deals data.

Individual investor Deepinder Singh Poonian offloaded 3,47,708 equity shares in Shree Rama Multi-Tech Ltd at Rs 12.23 per share on the NSE, the bulk deals data showed.

A deal where the total quantity of shares bought or sold is greater than 0.5 per cent of the share capital of the company is termed a bulk deal. It can be transacted either through the normal trading window or through the block trading window.

The Indian market on Tuesday witnessed a marginal cut at the closing, with Sensex slipping over 78 points, however, holding 60000-mark, while Nifty50 fell below 17900-level during range-bound trading today. The decline was mainly led by metal stocks and Reliance Industries.

As many as 21 stocks advanced and 28 declined, while one remained unchanged on Nifty50 at the market close on Tuesday. Tata Group stock Tata Steel slumped most by over 3.5 per cent, followed by Grasim and JSW Steel each down between 2-3 per cent.
