Eriska Investments Fund Ltd has announced that it has picked up 7 lakh equity shares in the textile products firm Filatex Fashions Ltd on Thursday. The Mauritius based fund picked up 7 lakh shares of the BSE-listed company at an average price of Rs 9.17, amounting to Rs 64.2 lakh, the bulk deal data from the exchange showed.

The Hyderabad based company has imported its machinery from South Korea and Italy for research and development (R&D).

"Filatex Fashions is the major supplier of socks of various sizes and designs to global leading brands like Maxwell (VIP Group),  Fila India, Adidas, Park Avenue, Tommy Hilfiger, Metro and more. Other than serving the leading brands the company has its own brand named 'Tuscany' and 'Smartman' which are  getting good traction from consumers in India," a company statement said.

"Filatex has also been producing socks for the license holders like Walt Disney, Warner Brothers, Planet, Mickey Mouse, Simpsons and 32 other licentiates. Filatex caters to all categories of socks and all the age groups including children, schools boys and girls, office wear, premium quality socks which are used for exports. The company is also a major supplier to e-commerce giants like Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Shop clue among others," it added.
