India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp has extended the duration of free service, annual maintenance contracts services and warranty amid the covid crisis in India.

The company in its filing to exchanges said, “Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has extended the duration of all its warranty and free services with customer-centricity at the core of its operations.” 

Besides Hero, other two-wheeler companies such as Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Yamaha and TVS have also announced the extension of warranty, free two-wheeler services. 

Hero MotoCorp has come up with these extension services under the Joyride programme keeping with its commitment to the safety and welfare of its people, its customers and to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19. 

“For the benefit of all its existing customers, the Company has extended the duration of the services that were getting exhausted during the ongoing period by 60 days. The extended services include: All scheduled Free Service (FSC); All services under Joyride (AMC); All vehicles for which the warranty is expiring (as per terms and conditions of warranty)”, the company said in the statement. 

Hero MotoCorp has also recently launched its comprehensive range of sales and aftersales services on the messaging app – WhatsApp – where customers can avail a host of services from an easy-to-interact menu-based chatbot that can be accessed 24X7 on the messaging platform.  

Providing real-time services and offering support on a wide range of topics, the feature provides key facilities like Service booking and post-service feedback, Real-time status check of the vehicle under repair, locating nearest workshop & showroom and more. 

As a Corporate Social Responsibility activity, Hero MotoCorp has partnered with the District Administration of Gurugram to set up a makeshift 100-bed COVID-19 care centre in the city.  

Similarly, the company is also supporting the setting up of the centre at the Government Girls College in Sector 14, Gurugram under its CSR platform - 'Hero We Care'.
