Indian stock markets were trading firm in early noon deals on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. At 12:47 pm, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading with a gain of 178.47 points or 0.31% at 57,771.96. The Nifty 50 index was 52.45 points or 0.30% up at 17,274.35. Meanwhile, certain stocks were in action in either direction based on reports linked to them. Here is a list of some of such stocks:

Stocks like LG Balakrishnan - up 2.62%; Timken India - up 3.52%; Ramakrishna Forgings - up 2.64%; Suprajit Engineering - up 1.12%; Automotive Axle - up 2.23%; Schaeffler India - up 1.38%; Sona BLW Precision - up 1.10% and MM Forgings - up 2.52% were trading with decent gains.

Cement Stocks: On a move. Stocks like Sanghi Industries - up 5.96%; JK Cement - up 4.53%; Shree Cement - up 1.85%; Ultratech Cement - up 2.26% and ACC Cement - up2.27% were trading with decent gains.

Chemical Stocks: On a move. Stocks like Camlin Fine Sciences - up 5.31%; Foseco India - up 3.16%; Navin Fluorine - up 2.68%; Oriental Carbon - up 3.25%; Deepak Nitrite - up 1.10% and Clean Science - up 1.47% were trading with decent gains.

Consumer Durables Stocks: On a move. Stocks like Bluestar - up 396%; Havells - up 1.90%; and Bata India - up 1.13% were trading with decent gains.

Fertilizer Stocks: On a move. Stocks like RCF - up 9%; Zuari Agro - up 6.18%; NFL - up 6.16%; GSFC - up 5.65%; Deepak Fertilizer - up 5%; FACT - up 2,89%; GNFC - up 2.12% and SPIC - up 2.59% were trading with decent gains.

Falling Stocks

Bandhan Bank: Down 1.33%.
IDFC First Bank: Down 1.30%.
Granules India: Down 1.16%.
Sunteck Realty: Down 1.66%.

Metal Stocks: Under pressure. Stocks like Coal India - down 2.59%; NMDC - down 1.49%; SAIL - down 1% and NALCO - down 1.55% were trading in negative territory.

Oil & Gas Stocks: Under pressure. Stocks like ONGC - down 2.98%; ATGL - down 1.521%; Oil India - down 1.33% and GSPL - down 1.72% were trading in negative territory.

IPO & FPO Update

Veranda Learning Solutions IPO: The Rs 200 crore Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the Chennai-based Veranda Learning Solutions was subscribed 0.42 times by 12:44 pm on Tuesday, the first day for bidding. The Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) portion was subscribed 0.27 times while Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) was subscribed 2.78 times. The public issue will remain open for bidding till March 31, 2022. The company's issue size aggregates to Rs 200 crore (fresh issue). It has a price band of Rs 130-137 per share. The bidding lot will be 100 equity shares and in multiples thereof.

Uma Exports IPO: The Rs 60 crore initial public offering (IPO) of the company was subscribed 3.36 times by 12.44 pm, on Tuesday, the second day for bidding. The Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) portion was subscribed 0.59 times while Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) was subscribed 4.62 times. The public offer will close on March 30, 2022. Uma Exports Ltd has set the price band for its public issue at Rs 65-68 a share. The company will utilise Rs 50 crore out of this to fund its working capital requirements. The market lot size is 200 shares. 

Stock in News

G R Infraprojects: Up 2.69%. The company has emerged as an L-1 bidder for four laning of the existing 2-lane stretch from Govindpur, Maharashtra. The bid project cost for the order stands at Rs 907 crore. In addition, it has also emerged at the L-1 bidder for a four laning of the existing 2-lane stretch from Bamni, Maharashtra, and the bid project cost for the project is Rs 837 crore. Both the tenders were invited by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)

SBI Life: Up 1.67%. Canada Pension Fund will offload 55.8 lakh equity shares (0.56% stakes) of the company in a bulk deal today. The price band for the deal has been fixed at Rs 1,039-1,077 per share (0-3% discount to CMP of Rs 1,070). 

J&K Bank: Up 1.82%. The Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP) of equity shares of the company opened on Monday at a floor price of Rs 33.41 per equity share. The Bank may at its discretion offer a discount of not more than 5% on the floor price so calculated for the Issue. The floor price has been fixed at a 4.1% premium over the previous closing. 

Man Industries: Up 11.17%. Many promoters bought 1.81% stakes (10.5 lakh equity shares) of the company.

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.: Down 3.32%. The Board of Directors of the Company on Monday approved the acquisition of the business and certain assets of Veritaz Healthcare Limited (Veritaz) for a cash consideration of Rs 171 crore. Veritaz operates in the pharmaceutical industry in India and sells branded generic formulations and other healthcare-related products.

Aster DM Healthcare Ltd: Down 2.95%. The board of directors of the Company on Monday has constituted a Committee of Independent Directors of the Board to review the corporate structure of the Company and explore options for enhancing value('Restructuring'). The Committee is authorised to appoint advisors /consultants to assist the Committee in identifying and evaluating options for Restructuring.

Escorts: Down 1.99%. The company's open offer came to an end on Monday. Around 5.2 crore equity shares have been tendered in the open offer which was fixed at Rs 2,000 per share. The acceptance ratio stood at 73%.
