Bajaj Finserv stock split, bonus share record date 2022: Shares of Bajaj Finserv gained around one per cent in BSE intraday trade on Wednesday as the record date to ascertain eligibility of shareholders for split and bonus share is September 14.

NBFC major Bajaj Finserv stock has been trading ex-bonus and ex-split from Tuesday, September 13. The company has announced stock split and bonus share in 1:5 and 1:1 ratio respectively.   

The Board of Directors of the company earlier had approved the proposal of stock split or sub division of equity shares in the ratio of 1:5 and also given its nod for the issuance of bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1. 

"Bajaj Finserv has fixed 14 September 2022 as record date for sub-division of each existing equity share of face value of Rs. 5/-(Rupees Five only) into Five (5) equity shares of face value of Rs. 1/-(Rupee one only) fully paid-up; and issue of one bonus equity shares of face value of Rs. 1/- (Rupees one only) for every 1 (one) fully paid-up equity share of Rs. 1/-(Rupees one only) of the Company," the company had said in a regulatory filing.   

Since the stock has been split into five shares and a bonus share against each share held by eligible shareholders has been approved, here is how many shares you will get after corporate actions.  

As per Bajaj Finserv stock split 2022, the company has announced to split each existing equity share having a face value of Rs 5 each into five equity shares having a face value of Rs 1 per equity share. It means the investors who holds one share of Bajaj Finserv on the record date will be allotted five equity shares for every one share held by them in their portfolio.   

Similarly, an eligible shareholder having one equity share on the record date is entitled for one more share against it.   

How many shares do you get after stock split, bonus disbursement?   

As per ICICI Direct, the calculation goes like: 1x5x2. For every one share held by eligible investors, they will get 10 shares. Explaining it further, it said let’s consider you own 200 shares of Bajaj Finserv on the record date in your demat account, now, after the 5:1 stock split and 1:1 bonus share issue, your net shareholding of this stock would become 2000 (200 x 5 x 2).
