Kacholia, who is fondly called as Big Whale of the Indian stock market, has bought 1,03,666 or 1.04 per cent stakes in Megastar Foods. The renowned investor publicly holds 39 stocks with a net worth of over Rs 1,838.9 crore as of October 11, 2022, according to the stock analysis website trendlyne.com.

Kacholia is known to make investments and pick stocks from the mid and small-cap segments, he has a varied portfolio that includes hospitality, education, infrastructure, and manufacturing stocks.

Megastar Foods Share Price History

The share price of the small-cap company has touched an upper circuit of 5 per cent to close at a day’s high level of Rs 204.75 apiece on the NSE in an otherwise weak market on Tuesday.

The Megastar Foods stock in the last one year has reported multibagger returns as it surged almost 5 times or 376 per cent on the exchanges. To put it in perspective, if an investor had invested Rs 1 lakh a year ago, he/she would have earned almost 5 lakhs in one-year investment.

Year-to-date, the stock has jumped more than 266 per cent or around 4 times from Rs 56 apiece on January 3, 2022, as compared to today’s closing price. The counter on September 15, 2022, touched a 52-week high of Rs 228.9 per share and Rs 39 apiece a 52-week low on December 10, 2021.
