The Indian benchmark indices were trading around 1% down in Wednesday’s noon trade amid weakness in financial stocks. Today is the last trading day of the financial year 2020-21 (FY21). At 12:00 pm, the S&P BSE Sensex fell 512.55 points, or 1.02%, to 49,600 levels and the broader Nifty 50 index gave up the 14,750-mark and was trading 121.55 points, or 0.82%, down at 14,723.55. HDFC twins (HDFC – down 3.99% and HDFC Bank – down 3.81%) were the top Nifty losers. Meanwhile, certain stocks were in action in either direction based on reports linked to them. Apollo Pipes: Bullish – up 5.73%. Shares of Apollo Pipes rallied in intra-day trade on an expectation of strong revenue growth on the back of a healthy demand outlook for the industry. 

Kaveri Seed (up 6.34%)/ Bayer CropScience (up 0.84%): Bullish as the government has increased wholesale prices for cotton. The prices of BG2 cotton have been increased by 5%.

Sterling & Wilson Solar: Up 2.22 %. It has bagged an order worth Rs 890 crore in the US. 

Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd: Up 1.27%. The company has secured new orders worth Rs 625 crore in domestic and overseas markets. The company said it has won orders in the power transmission and railways business.

Intellect Design Arena: Bullish – up 6.63%. Shares of the company rallied after the company announced that it has bagged a large deal from Concentra Bank to power its new digital banking strategy. 

TVS Motor: Up 1.57%. The company has exported 1 lakh units of two-wheelers in March 2021. 

SpiceJet: Up 2.71%.It has launched ‘Zero Change Fee’ for domestic flights. Besides, SpiceJet has signed MoU with Avenue Capital Group for financing, acquisition and sale and lease‐back of up to 50 aircraft. 

Tata Steel: Up 1.75%. Moody’s upgrades outlook on Tata Steel to stable from negative. 

Bharti Airtel: Up 0.24%. The telecom has been included in CERT-IN by the government. 

Maruti: Up 1.17%. Signs MoU with Karnataka Bank for car loans.
