Amid the corona pandemic, railways has been doing everything in capacity to restore services earliest.  In this regard, more than 70 local trains of Northern Railway have started running from Monday.

Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal in a tweet informed that four Shatabdi special and one Duronto Special train are being started by the Indian Railways.

Sources say, the operations department has prepared to run most of the trains and a schedule been also prepared of the same. Around 90 per cent of the trains will start running from April 10 with the covid protocol, as reported by india.com.

These trains will be run utmost precautions of virus being not spread and will also provide lot of comfort to the passengers.

The caption of the image shared in the tweet of rail minister reads, from April 10 Amritsar Shatabdi, Chandigarh Shatabdi, Jaipur Shatabdi and other routes will start running. All these trains are termed as special due to covid pandemic and the fare of these trains will be higher.

As the country getting engulfed in the second wave of covid 19, it's expected that passengers will not be allowed in the train without a covid test. At Haridwar railway station, this rule has already been implemented from Monday.
