Stock Market Today News Highlights: US stocks ended sharply higher on Thursday as investors pulled back from bearish bets after a disappointing consumer prices report and as technical support helped drive a rebound.
Stock Market Today News Highlights: Equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty ended over 1 per cent higher on Friday, helped by heavy buying in Infosys and banking stocks amid a rally in global stock markets.
The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 684.64 points or 1.20 per cent to settle at 57,919.97. During the day, it rallied 1,199.79 points or 2.09 per cent to 58,435.12.
Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty climbed 171.35 points or 1.01 per cent to end at 17,185.70.
From the Sensex components, Infosys jumped nearly 4 per cent, followed by HDFC Bank, HDFC, HCL Technologies, Larsen & Toubro, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance and State Bank of India.

Anand Rathi Wealth PAT rises 41% in July-September
Non-bank wealth solutions company Anand Rathi Wealth on Thursday reported a 41 per cent jump in profit after tax at Rs 43 crore for three months ended September 2022. In comparison, the company had posted a PAT (Profit After Tax) of Rs 30.4 crore in the same quarter preceding fiscal, Anand Rathi Wealth, part of Mumbai-based financial services group Anand Rathi, said in a statement. Total revenue rose by 33 per cent to Rs 138.1 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 103.8 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.
