Wipro jobs for freshers: Bangalore-based Wipro Limited saw an 11 per cent attrition in the quarter ended September 30 2020 (Q2FY21) on the LTM basis which was lower from the June quarter (Q1FY21) numbers at 13 per cent. The company hired 12000 employees during the reporting quarter while onboarding 3000 freshers, its said in its filing to the exchanges.

The total attrition for the financial year ended 31 March 2020 stood at 14.7 percent. The company has been able to reduce the attrition rate in successive quarters starting from Q1FY20 when the attrition rate was as high as 17.6 per cent.  

The total employee count as on 30 September 2020 was 185,243 as against 181,804 during the previous quarter. The closing employee count in Q2FY21 is also higher on the year-on-year basis. 

One of the leading Indian IT companies, Wipro reported its Q2FY21 results on Tuesday. The net income or net profit for the company declined by 3.4 per cent year-on-year at Rs 24.7 billion. Its gross revenue was Rs 151.1 billion up 1.4 per cent quarter-o-quarter (QoQ) while down by 0.1 per cent YoY. 

The other highlights are: 

  • IT Services Segment Revenue was at USD 1,992.4 million, an increase of 3.7 per cent QoQ 
  • Non-GAAP2 constant currency IT Services Segment Revenue increased by 2.0 per cent QoQ 
  • IT Services Operating Margin3 for the quarter was at 19.2 per cent, an expansion of 0.2 QoQ and 1.1 per cent YoY 
  • Operating Cash Flow was at ₹44.1 billion (USD 600.1 million1), which is 179 per cent of Net Income 
  • Localization in US now at 71.9 per cent 
  • Gross Utilisation is at 76.4 per cent for Q2’21
