The Union Public Service Commission has released a notice regarding the Civil Services Main Exam. In accordance with the notice, UPSC will conduct the Civil Services Mains Exam on January 7, 2022. According to the schedule based on the official release of UPSC, the UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam will be held till January 16, 2022.

The official release issued by the Commission states, ”Keeping in view the restrictions/curbs being imposed by the Governments to contain the disease, the Commission has requested the State Governments for ensuring that no inconvenience is caused to the candidates/ examination functionaries in their movement, especially who are coming from containment / micro-containment zone(s) and if necessary, the candidates’ eAdmit Cards and ID Cards of the examination functionaries are to be used as movement passes.”

For smooth movement of the candidates/exam functionaries, the State Governments are further requested to make public transport as operational as possible for at least one day before the Examination and until the Examination is conducted, i.e. from 06.01.2022 to 09.01.2022 and 14.01.2022 to 16.01.2022.

TIME TABLE FOR THE 2021 CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION

The Main Exam will consist of nine papers. will consist of a paper in any one of the following languages, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali (Devanagari/Olchiki Script), Sindhi (Devanagari/Arabic Script), Tamil, Telugu, Urdu. COVID-19 protocols and guidelines, such as maintaining social distance, using sanitiser, wearing masks, and others, will be followed during the test.

UPSC Civil Service Mains: Exam Day Guidelines

  • The admit card can be downloaded from the official website by candidates.
  • The reporting time on the admit card must be adhered to by all candidates.
  • The admit card should be accompanied by a valid ID.
  • In the examination hall, candidates are required to adhere to all Covid-19 norms including carrying their own sanitizers in transparent bottles.
