India Post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2020: Indian Postal department has sought application against 2582 posts in Northeast, Jharkhand and Punjab circles. As many as 1118 vacancies are to be filled in Jharkhand postal circle, 948 in Northeast and 516 vacancies will be filled in Punjab postal circle under this recruitment drive. The vacancies are available for the post of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Gramin Dak Sevak under Cycle 3.

Interested candidates can apply for India Post Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment 2020 through Indian post official website appost.in. Online applications are being entertained from November 12 and last date for the same is December 11.  

Candidates seeking to apply for India Post GDS Recruitment 2020 should have passed Class 10 and must have a compulsory knowledge of local Language and studied the local language at least up to Class 10. There will be no written exam for these posts. Candidates will be selected on percentage of marks obtained in Class 10 on merit basis. Higher qualification will have no impact on the recruitment process. It is important for candidates to have passed Math, English and local language in Class 10

The candidates should not be less than 18 years and more than 40 years as on November 12, 2020. Relaxation in upper age limit will be granted as per government norms.  
Branch Postmaster (BPM) will be given Rs 12,000 to 14,500, while ABPM and GDS will be entitled for salary of Rs 10,000 o 12,000.

The candidates belonging to UR/OBC/EWS Male/Transman will have to pay Rs 100 as application fee, while SC/ST/Female/Transwoman/PWD candidates have been exempted from paying fee. Fee can be paid online through net banking, credit card/debit card. Offline payments can be made at any Head Post Office.
