IIM-K placements: There is a reason to rejoice for the students at Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIM-K)  as the institution registered 100 per cent placement for the students who enrolled themselves for the placement drive.

The placement drive that scripted such a success was held in virtual mode as per a report by The Times of India.

All the 459 students who registered themselves for the online placement drive have bagged lucrative offers with the average salary for the batch being Rs 22.5 lakh per annum. There has been a 4.6 per cent increase in the average salary of this batch compared to last year's batch whose average salary was Rs 20 lakh per annum.

The placement process was attended by 137 recruiters with 51 new recruiters participating in the placement drive this year.

With a rise of 12.5 per cent compared to last year, 32.7 per cent of the offers poured in from consulting firms.

The IIM-K authorities also informed The Times of India that this year 50 per cent of the students have bagged an average package of Rs 28.9 lakh per annum. This is a rise by 8.1 per cent from last year.
