7th Pay Commission latest news: The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India or CAG India has issued a recruitment notice for central government jobs for the post of Auditors and Accountants. After successful completion of the recruitment process, selected candidates will be appointed in Level-5 under the 7th CPC (Central Pay Commission). As  per the notice available on cag.gov.in, all stakeholders can share their comments in the prescribed format by February 19. The draft notification lists out a possible 10,811 posts for Accountant and Auditors with CAG India. Candidates may go through the notification and share their comments. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by logging in at the official website of the CAG — cag.gov.in.

7th CPC Pay Scale
As mentioned above, the proposed recruitment notice clarifies that a successful candidate will be appointed in Level-5 of the Seventh Pay Commission as they will be a central government employee. So, their 7th CPC pay scale will be Rs 29,200 to Rs 92,300 plus other perks like Dearness Allowance (DA), Housing Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA), etc. as permissible under the 7th Pay Commission.

Total Vacancies
As per the cag.gov.in, the total probable vacancies are 10,811 out of which 6409 Auditors and 4402 Accountant posts would be filled.

Eligibility Criteria
The proposed or suggested eligibility criteria is set as a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University. Language proficiency for the language specified, and at the level as prescribed and to be tested, for the State in which the vacancies exist and recruitment is to take place, in the office of State Accountants General.

The age limit of the candidate should be between 18 to 27 years of age.
