Western Railway to issue monthly season tickets in non-suburban sections from today, on this condition

In a relief to the passengers, the Railways has decided to issue monthly season tickets in the non-suburban sections of Western Railway in nominated special trains. In case of any query, the passengers can login to the official website at enquiry.indianrail.gov.in.

Th Western Railway in one of its recent tweets has informed about this decision of the Railways. The tweet said, "For the convenience of passengers travelling daily, WR to issue MST in nominated Special trains in non – suburban section w.e.f 29.10.2021. The passengers will be permitted to travel in only unreserved coaches of these nominated Special trains."

It has to be noted that the passengers can avail season ticket to travel only in unreserved coaches of the nominated special trains.

The special trains are as follows:

1) Train no. 09011/ 09012 Mumbai Central to Ahmedabad Superfast running with seven unreserved second class seating coaches

2) Train no. 02935/ 02936 Bandra Terminus to Surat Superfast running with five unreserved second class seating coaches

3) Train no. 09135/09136 Valsad to Ahemdabad Special running with seven unreserved second class seating coaches

4) Train no. 09137/09138 Dahanu Road to Vadodara Superfast Special running with seven unreserved second class seating coaches

5) Train no. 09129/09130 Valsad to Vadodara Superfast Special running with five unreserved second class seating coaches

6) Train no. 09519/ 09520 Bhavnagar Terminus to Okha Special running with seven unreserved second class seating coaches

7) Train no. 09339 Dahod to Bhopal Special running with seven unreserved second class seating coaches

8) Train no. 09323 Dr. Amdebkar Nagar to Bhopal Special running with seven unreserved second class seating coaches

9) Train no. 02959/02960 Vadodara to Jamnagar Superfast Special running with five unreserved second class seating coaches

10) Train no. 09419/ 09420 Ahmedabad to Somnath Special running with six unreserved second class seating coaches

The passengers must note that only fully vaccinated people as defined by the Maharashtra government will be issued monthly season tickets. At present, the season tickets are being issued only on monthly basis except in cases of revalidation. The revalidation of non-suburban tickets is going to be carried out from today, October 29, 2021 for the number of days lost as per extant Railway Board instructions and that season tickets issued through UTS which were valid from March 23, 2020 and onwards during the lockdown period, will be considered for revalidation.
