IRCTC app or IRCTC website helps you book your online Indian Railways tickets through your log in ID and password. To have an IRCTC log in, one needs to register with the IRCTC and in this process, mobile number and email ID are required. Interestingly, one mobile number can be registered with one IRCTC account only. So, in case you changed your mobile number, you will have to either create a new IRCTC account with a new mobile number or change the registered mobile number in your existing IRCTC account. But, the later option is known to very few people. But, it's possible to change registered mobile number on the IRCTC website or IRCTC App.

Here is a step by step guide on how you can change your registered mobile number on IRCTC website:

1. Open the IRCTC application on your phone or PC;

2. Login to your account with your email id and password;

3. Tap on User Profile and select Update Profile;

4. In the next screen, you can find your registered mobile number, tap on the update button to add a new number;

5. Click on submit button and you will receive an OTP on the number you just added; and

6. Enter the OTP on the website and click on the submit button.
