Vande Bharat Train: Sleeper Class coach to be added by Indian Railways?

Vande Bharat Train Sleeper Class Coach: Indian Railways' premier train Vande Bharat Express is undoubtedly one of the most popular trains in the country at the moment. The train currently has only a chair-car seating arrangement, but it may soon have sleeper berths. According to Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Vande Bharat trains will be soon equipped with sleeper berths. 

"The changes would be made in the long-distance Vande Bharat," the Minister had said. 

The Minister said that the Indian Railways have been given a target of running 400 Vande Bharat trains. 

Vande Bharat Express Train Nagpur-Bilaspur

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train connecting Nagpur to Bilaspur. The flagging-off ceremony took place at the Nagpur railway station.

With this, the Vande Bharat trains are now operational on six routes across the country.

Vande Bharat: 68 instances of an animal hit in 6 months

The premier train has been hit by animals 68 times in the last six months starting from June this year. Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared this information in a written reply to the Lok Sabha. He also said, in another reply, that the coupler cover fitted in front of the Vande Bharat train as part of the nose cone is made of fibre. This has been done purposely to absorb the impact of the hit.

Vande Bharat Express between Nagpur and Hyderabad

There are chances that Vanda Bharat Express between Nagpur to Hyderabad will be introduced in the near future.

This is because Maharashtra Cabinet minister Sudhir Mungantiwar has written a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw demanding the Vande Bharat Express train be started from Nagpur to Hyderabad.
