RRB NTPC 2020 Exam date latest news: The Indian Railways is likely to expedite the process for filling up Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) posts for graduate and under-graduate candidates, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Railways. The state-run transporter has recently concluded recruitment for Assistant Loco Pilots (ALPs) and Technicians, the release further said.

As per the release, over 1.26 cr candidates have applied for RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) posts, the exams for which will be conducted via an online RRB NTPC 2020 exam or Computer Based Test (CBT). There are 35208 vacancies which including 24605 vacancies for  graduate posts and 10603 for under graduate posts under the NTPC including Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Commercial Apprentice and Station Master, etc.
The Indian Railways have still not announced the examination and admit card release dates.
 
The examination process preparation was at an advance stage when the Covid 19 pandemic hit the country and a nationwide lockdown was announced, the release said.

Indian Railways is formulating a viable strategy to conduct massive examination of 1.25 crore applicants and scheduling of all the processes etc while observing all norms in Covid-19 scenario.

“RRBs follow the practice of direct and instantaneous communication with candidates through regular updates on web-sites and individual SMSs and emails, whenever required. Candidates are appealed to refer to these official communications only and not be misguided by false propaganda and rumors being circulated on social media, many of which are aimed at misleading the genuine candidates and adversely affecting their preparation for examination,” the release said.

The Railway Ministry in one of the world’s largest recruitment exercise has successfully concluded, filling up critical safety and operational posts and has reached its completion stage, the release said. A total of 47 lakh online applications were received for a total 64,371 combined vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilots (ALPs) and Technicians.
