Northern Railway has announced a reduction in train ticket prices. Lakhs of passengers will enjoy train travel at a very affordable price. Northern Railway on Wednesday decided to provide up to 50 per cent relief in train tickets for people travelling in second class. This relief has been given in all the trains going towards the Kashmir valley. Train fares were increased during the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
By reinstating ordinary fares for passengers travelling in second-class coaches, ticket fares will be reduced by 40 to 50 per cent.

Northern Railway: Rail service is increasing rapidly in the valley

 Rail services are currently restored from Baramulla city in the north of the valley to Sangaldan in Ramban district of the Jammu division. By the end of April, rail service from Udhampur to Baramulla will become operational, connecting the valley with the rest of the country through railway services.
