Kerala is reportedly to have its first Vande Bharat Express operating between Thiruvananthapuram and Kannaur railway stations. The train will be the 15th Vande Bharat train in India and will cover the distance of 501 km in around 7.5 hours.
Vande Bharat Express trains have been the talk of the town for many months as far as trains in India are concerned, and now the premium train is all set to ply the Kerala route also. God's Own Country is reportedly to have its first Vande Bharat Express operating between Thiruvanathapuram and Kannaur railway stations. The train will be the 15th Vande Bharat train in India and will cover the distance of 501 km in around 7.5 hours.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reportedly flag off the train at the Thiruvanathapuram Railway Station on April 25, 2023.
Kerala Vande Bharat Express time table
As per reports, the Kerala Vande Bharat Express will start its journey from Thiruvanathapuram before 5 AM and will return to the same place before nightfall.
The train comprises 16 coaches, and the seating is in the form of chair cars.
As per reports, once the coaches arrive at Kochuveli, Thiruvanathapuram, from the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, a trial run will be conducted for the train on the said route.
Kerala Vande Bharat Express route
According to a proposal made by Southern Railway, the train will ply the Thiruvanathapuram-Kannur route of 501 km.
The train will cover the distance in around 7.5 hours.
The speed of the train is expected to be 180 kmph. It can reach 100 kph in just 52 seconds.
Kerala Vande Bharat Express stoppages
Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Tirur, and Kozhikode will be the stoppages for the Kerala Vande Bharat trains.
The train is the 15th Vande Bharat train. The 14th Vande Bharat train started its journey between Delhi Cant and Ajmer this week.
