IRCTC, Railways news: In a good news for Indian Railways passengers, the Northern Railway will resume services of Shatabdi Express, Duronto Express and Humsafar trains from April 10. The decision has been taken to facilitate smooth movement of passengers in these difficult times of Covid 19 pandemic.

"Four Shatabdi Express and one pair each of Hamsafar and Duronto will begin services between April 10 to April 15. This has been done to provide railway commuter safe and comfortable journey, " Railways Minister Piyush Goyal had tweeted on April 5.  

The trains that will resume operations between April 10 and April 15 are:  
1. 02013/14 New Delhi to Amritsar Shatabdi Express Special. The train will operate daily.
2. 04051/52 New Delhi to Daurai Shatabdi Express Special. The train will operate daily.  
3. 04053/54 New Delhi to Amritsar Shatabdi Express Special. The train will operate only on Thursday.  
4. 02046/45 Chandigarh to New Delhi Shatabdi Express Special. The train will operate daily except Wednesday.
5. 02265/66 Delhi Sarai Rohilla to Jammu Tawi Duronto Express Special. The train will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Sunday or Wednesday and Saturday.

The railways commuters must know that with COVID guidelines in place, the passengers with confirmed tickets will only be allowed to travel on these trains.  
Earlier, the IRCTC has already started services of 71 unreserved trains from April 5.
