However, Central Railways recently shared a data survey related to passengers, revealing that due to the popularity and high demand of Vande Bharat trains, flight tickets on many routes have become cheaper by up to 30 percent. And air passenger traffic on those routes has also decreased.

Vande Bharat is popular on these routes

Central Railways said in its report that passengers are very fond of Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi, Mumbai-Solapur, Mumbai-Madgaon and Nagpur-Bilaspur Vande Bharat Express trains. Most of the passengers in the age group of 15 to 30 years and 31 to 45 years are travelling in these trains. 

Flight tickets became cheaper by up to 30%

In the report shared the Railways, it has been claimed that according to industry estimates, passenger traffic has declined by 10-20 per cent due to the launch of Vande Bharat trains.

At the same time, due to this decrease in demand, flight tickets have also become cheaper by 20-30 per cent.
