Indian Railways Dussehra Diwali Special Trains: The festive season in India started with Navratri (October 15). Navratri, Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath will be celebrated in October and November. People travelling to their home towns to celebrate these festivals find it increasingly difficult to book train tickets.

Keeping in view the extra rush during the festive season, Central Railway will run as many as 30 special trains for passengers.

Central Railway special trains during festivals

CSMT - Nagpur Bi-Weekly Superfast Special (20 Services)

Superfast Special, train no. 02139, will depart from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 00.20 hrs on Monday and Thursday from 19.10.2023 to 20.11.2023 and will reach Nagpur at 15.30 hrs on the same day.

Superfast Special, train no. 02140, will depart from Nagpur at 13.30 hrs on Tuesday and Saturday from 21.10.2023 to 21.11.2023 and will reach the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 04.10 hrs the next day.

This train will stop at Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Manmad, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtijapur, Badnera Dhamangaon, and Wardha on the way.

This festive special train has 16 air-conditioned, 3-tier economy classes and two generator vans.

Nagpur-Pune Weekly Superfast Special (10 services)

Superfast Special, train no. 02144, will depart from Nagpur at 19.40 hrs every Thursday from 19.10.2023 to 16.11.2023 and will reach Pune at 11.25 hrs the next day.

Superfast Special, train no. 02143, will leave Pune at 16.10 hrs every Friday from 20.10.2023 to 17.11.2023 and will reach Nagpur at 06.30 hrs the next day.

This train will stop at Wardha, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahmednagar, Daund Chord Line, and Urali on the way.

This festive special train has 16 air-conditioned, 3-tier economy classes and two generator vans.
