These benefits can be extended by purchasing tickets through IRCTC-SBI co-branded credit card under its loyalty scheme.

The credit card offers several benefits, which include up to 10 per cent cashback on AC ticket fares, waiver of payment gateway charges, SBI card travel reward points; and other dining, hotel booking, online shopping offers. The interested passengers can visit the IRCTC website and check details regarding the loyalty programme. 

The customers will be able to avail of the benefits of SBI co-branded credit card on railway tickets booked through irctc.co.in. On booking train tickets through IRCTC website, it charges 1.8 per cent (exclusive of GST) for payment gateway. The customers who enroll under the loyalty programme will not have to pay payment gateway charge.

SBI credit card travel reward points are only available on 1st class AC, 2nd class AC, 3rd class AC, executive chair car and AC chair car travel. There is no reward points on sleeper class tickets bookings. The person should be a passenger to earn SBI card travel reward points.  

You can log into the IRCTC account and link the loyalty card. For this, under the "Loyalty" tab on the homepage you can select the "Add Loyalty Account" option. The holder of the card has to enter the 11-digit loyalty number on the IRCTC-SBI credit card. An OTP will be sent to the customer's mobile number. They have to click on "Add Loyalty Account" button.
