India's venture capital landscape has experienced a drastic downturn in the first half of 2023, with investments plunging by an alarming 79% compared to the same period last year. The number of deals also decreased significantly, from 727 to only 293, marking a 60% decrease. Sectors like fintech, edtech, and enterprise-tech were particularly affected.
