India 360: Retail Inflation Rises To 7% In August As Food Prices Surge

India's retail inflation in August 2022 rose to 7%, up from 6.71% in July mainly due to high food prices. Inflation rate of vegetables stood at 13.23% in August. The inflation rate of milk stood at 6.39% in August as against 5.84% in July. The inflation rate of spices stood at 14.90% in August as against 12.89% in July. However, inflation declined in case of eggs while prices of protein foods such as meat and fish remained stable. Watch this special report on India 360.
