India 360: Improving Road Safety Measures Could Save Nearly 30,000 Lives In India Annually - Lancet Study

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that every year around 1.5 lakh people are killed in five lakh accidents across the country. According to a Lancet study, improving road safety measures could save nearly 30,000 lives in India every year. The steps taken to control the speed of vehicles on Indian roads can save 20,554 lives annually. While the promotion of crash helmets can save 5,683 lives in India.
