India 360: Housing Sales In 2022 Hit 9-Year High; Office Leasing Rises 36% | Residential Sales

Demand in real estate which was suppressed post-pandemic is now emerging. Property advisor firm Knight Frank released the report on Tuesday which said that housing sales in the country's major 8 cities rose by 34% to a 9-year high. According to the report, 3.12 lakh houses were sold in the top 8 cities of the country in 2022. 58,460 houses were sold in NCR. Last year 85,169 houses were sold in Mumbai. House prices increased by 4-7% across the country. NCR recorded office space transactions to the value of 89 lakh square feet. Home sales are expected to increase by 10-15% in 2023.
