Fire fighters wrestle to control Surat market blaze

Firefighters continued their efforts to control the massive fire that broke out at the Raghuveer Market in Surat on Jan 21. At least 40 fire tenders are on the spot to douse the flames. No loss of lives or injuries has been reported so far. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Further details are awaited. "Fire fighting operation is underway; the reason is yet to be ascertained," informed SMC Deputy Commissioner.
