Art festival Chitra Sante organised in Karnatakas Kalaburagi

Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath’s annual ‘Chitra Sante’ art festival was organised in Kalaburagi on January 12. This festival brings traditional and contemporary art to a broader audience, outside the confines of galleries and museums. It featured around 100-200 artists this year. Every year around 35,000-40,000 people attend this painting exhibition and various artists come from different places to showcase their talent. ‘Chitra Sante’ is organised every year in different parts of Karnataka. Paintings fetch around Rs 3-5 lakh during the one-day event.
