Aadhaar Download UIDAI: Aadhaar is one of the most important documents as a proof of one's identity. Aadhaar is a verifiable 12-digit identification number issued by UIDAI to the resident of India for free of cost. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has recently tweeted an individual is able to download Aadhaar anytime and from anywhere.

A recent tweet from the official Twitter handle of Aadhaar said, "Download your Aadhaar from eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in anytime anywhere. You can choose to download 'Regular Aadhaar' that displays the complete Aadhaar number or 'Masked Aadhaar' which shows only the last four digits."

 

Now, in order to download Aadhaar anytime and from anywhere, one has to follow some simple steps. They are as follows:

Step 1: One has to login to the official UIDAI website at uidai.gov.in

Step 2: Now one has to choose the option 'Download Aadhaar' from the dashboard

Step 3: Now a new page will open and the individual will have to select 'I Have' 'Aadhaar' option. One must note that one can also choose Download your Aadhaar using one's Enrolment ID, VID apart from the Aadhaar number

Step 4: The individual will have to then have to enter the Aadhaar number, his or her full name, the PIN code and security code. Then the person has to click on request OTP.

Step 5: The individual will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number

Step 6: He or she will then have to enter the OTP in the space provided for OTP and the click on the Download Aadhaar option

Step 7: The individual will receive a virtual  ID on SMS which can be used in place of Aadhaar

Step 8: The individual will have to click on the saved PDF

Step 9: In order to open the file, the one must remember that in order to open the file, one has to enter the password. The password to enter e-Aadhaar is the first four letters of the name and the year of birth

Step 10: After entering the password, one will be able to view his or her e-Aadhaar

Many must be wondering about Masked Aadhaar. One must note that Mask Aadhaar option allows one to mask your Aadhaar number in the downloaded e-Aadhaar. Masked Aadhaar number implies replacing of first 8 digits of Aadhaar number with some characters like “xxxx-xxxx” while only last 4 digits of the Aadhaar Number are visible.
