Aadhaar card-bank account linking: To make sure you do not face any problems with your bank account, you should definitely get it linked to your Aadhaar card. Government has been saying the  same for quite some time too. Linking Aadhaar Card to bank account has not been made mandatory. It is optional. However, linking of Aadhaar Card and bank account makes your transactions convenient and transparent. It is quite easy to do so too. Through Bank ATM: Customers can also link their Aadhaar card and bank account through bank ATMs concerned. However, it is to be noted that the facility to link Aadhaar card with bank account is available only on debit cards that are issued for your bank account.   

Internet Banking:  If you are registered with net banking services, you can easily complete the process in a few steps. First, log into your net banking account, follow the steps and after successful verification your Aadhaar and bank account will be linked   

Visit bank branch: You can also complete this process by visiting the nearest branch of your bank.  You will have to fill a form seeking details of your name, age, date of birth, registered mobile number, bank account number and Aadhaar number etc. As soon as bank completes your verification process, your Aadhaar will be linked with the bank account.   

Through mobile app: You can also link your Aadhaar number with bank account though mobile app of your bank by downloading its app.

www.uidai.gov.in.  Select “My Aadhaar” tab and click on “Check Aadhaar/Bank Linking Status.” A new page will be displayed where you will have to enter your 12-digit Aadhar number and captcha code. Click on send OTP and verify it. As soon as you hit submit button, your linking status will appear.
