Reliance plans a new project in Bengal
Mukesh Ambani-controlled Reliance is planning a new project in West Bengal and expects its investment in existing projects in telecom and retail in the state may touch even Rs 20,000 crore in the near future.
"We have invested Rs 15000 crore in our current projects in Jio (telecom), retail in West Bengal and are continuing to invest. This may hit Rs 20,000 crore in the near future. We are looking at another project in the state," a senior Reliance official said here today.
The official said that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had mentioned at an event in the city during the day about Reliance's new project in the state and said it will take shape in the next 15 days.
The company is in dialouge with the West Bengal government officials on it, he said but did not elaborate.
