The decision was taken at the meeting of Board of Directors (BoD) held here under the chairmanship of Urban Development, Housing and Town and Country Planning minister Sudhir Sharma. The employees would now get 134 per cent of the basic pay as DA.

The meeting accorded approval for construction of commercial complex at Vikas Nagar Shimla at an estimated cost of Rs 143.65 crore, construction of six shops and two halls in commercial complex Parwanoo Sector-1 at a cost of Rs 2.68 crore, construction of 52 shops in commercial complex Parwanoo Sector-1 with costing of Rs 6.83 crore, construction of 55 shops, six food court, 12 booths in commercial complex in sector-2 Parwanoo at a cost of Rs 84 crore.

The BoD also approved construction of food court and halls at commercial complex at Kalujhanda in Baddi at a cost of Rs 6.32 crore, construction of eight flats at Mohli (Sidhpur) in Dharamshala under partially self-financing scheme at a cost of Rs 1.64 crore.

In addition, a housing colony at Rajwari in Mandi district costing Rs 17.89 crore at flats at Bindravan Phase-1 (Palampur) at a cost of Rs 9 crore were also given approval.
