At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in October advanced by Rs 10, or 0.86 per cent to Rs 1,170.90 per kg in business turnover of 1 lot.

On similar lines, the spice for delivery in September contracts went up by Rs 5.20, or 0.45 per cent to Rs 1,170.50 per kg in 6 lots.

Marketmen said widening of position by participants following pick up in domestic as well as exports demand in the physical market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly kept cardamom prices higher at futures trade.
