The Income Tax Department today raided the Hiranandani Group of the real estate sector on suspicion of tax evasion.
Hiranandani Group: The Income Tax Department today raided the Hiranandani Group of the real estate sector on suspicion of tax evasion. This raid on behalf of the IT department has been done at 24 places including Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru.
This raiding operation is also being done at the houses of the top officials of the company.
The Hiranandani Group was founded in 1978 by two brothers, Niranjan and Surendra Hiranandani, and has built several projects in Maharashtra over the last four decades.
Niranjan Hiranandani is Co-founder and managing director of Hiranandani Group of Companies. He also heads a distinct business unit Hiranandani Communities. While Surendra Hiranandani is founder and director of the Hiranandani Group of Companies.
