Republic Day 2022: India showcases a splendid display of formations; From, Amrit, Vinaash, Netra and Tiranga formations here are some key highlights-take a glimpse!

India is celebration its 73rd year of becoming a republic. The event is once in a life time and is being celebrated with a lot of pomp and show. During a splendid carnival, Preseident Ram Nath Kovind, First Lady Savita Kovind Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were present to grace the occasion. One of the biggest ataction was the flypast exhibited  by the Indian Air Force. The Indian Air Force showcased 13 formations. We bring you some of the defining moments of today's flypast. Amrit Formation:

 The formation comprises seventeen Jaguar aircrafts making a figure of ‘75’ would flypast over the water channel North of Rajpath.

Tiranga Formation:

Five Sarang (ALH) fly in ‘Ladder’ formation streaming Tricolour over the water channel North of Rajpath.

Varuna Formation

The formation would comprise one P8i aircraft with two MiG-29 K aircrafts in echelon and would flypast in ‘Vic’ formation.

Baaz Formation

The formation comprising one Rafale, two Jaguar, two MiG-29 UPG and two Su-30 MKI aircrafts would fly in seven aircrafts ‘Arrowhead’ formation.

Netra Formation

 The formation comprising one AEW&C aircraft with two MiG 29 UPG and two Su-30 MKI aircrafts in echelon would fly in ‘Arrowhead’ formation.

Meghna Formation:

 The formation comprising CH-47 Chinook aircraft in lead and four Mi-17 1V aircraft in echelon, would fly in five aircraft ‘Arrowhead’ formation over water channel North of Rajpath.

Eklavya Formation: The formation comprising one Mi-35 aircraft in lead with four Apache helicopters in echelon would fly in five aircraft ‘Arrowhead’ formation over water channel North of Rajpath.

Vinaash Formation

The formation would comprise five Rafale aircrafts which would fly in ‘Arrowhead’ formation.
