Aero India 2019: From Mirage 2000 to MiG-29, get up close and personal with these flying war machines of Indian Air Force
The 12th edition of ‘Aero India 2019’ would be held at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, Bengaluru, (Karnataka) from 20 to 24 February 2019. This five-day event will combine a major trade exhibition of the aerospace and defence industries with public air shows. Besides global leaders and big investors in aerospace industry, the show will also see participation by think-tanks from across the world. Aero India will provide a unique opportunity for exchange of information, ideas and new developments in the aviation industry. Besides giving a fillip to the domestic aviation industry it would further the cause of Make in India. The Indian Air Force will also showcase its power during the Aero India 2019 show.
The MiG-29 (Upgrade) is a 4th generation air superiority fighter aircraft. It has been upgraded with the latest avionics, radar & air-to-air refueling capability.The aircraft is lethal & capable of firing air-to-air, air-to-surface armaments & precision munitions.
The Mirage-2000 is a multi-role, single-engine, air defence 4th-generation fighter aircraft. The aircraft is employed in air defence & ground attack missions, with all-weather interception capability, with a full range of weapons and electronic warfare suite.
MiG-21 – The MiG-21 is the most widely used aircraft. The MiG-21 Bison is a Multi role, all weather Air Defence aircraft. The aircraft is equipped with modern Radar & Avionics systems and carries a mix of air to air missiles.
The HAL built Light Combat Aircraft ‘Tejas’, is a light weight multirole fighter developed indigenously. It integrates technologies such as relaxed static stability, fly-by-wire flight control system, advanced avionics, multi-mode radar & modern weapons.
MiG-27 UPG – MiG-27 upgrade is a very potent air to ground strike aircraft which can carry a variety of armament loads comprising of bombs, rockets & front guns. Its swing-wing design permits it to operate over a wide range of speeds.
