In a bid to build global competitiveness and foster growth among Indian SMEs, 30 CXOs and industry experts will come together for a discussion over breakfast tomorrow in New Delhi under the Dare to Dream programmme. The event is being jointly organised by Zee Business and SAP on April 16th. The lead idea behind the event is to provide a single platform for discussion in order to engage, extract thoughts and experiences that are themselves expected to throw up valuable lessons for all concerned to take advantage of policies, technologies, market linkages as well as business support thereby help in shaping of the industry itself.

The CXOs and captains of the sector will discuss government policies related to the budgetary allocations, 20 per cent public procurement policy for MSEs, financial assistance on international cooperation, marketing assistance scheme, performance and credit rating scheme and scheme for growth capital and equity assistance. The 'Dare to Dream' platform provided by the Zee Business and SAP would also focus on demystifying government initiatives like providing loans up to Rs 1 crore within 59 minutes through online portal and interest subvention of 2 per cent for all GST registered SMEs on fresh or incremental loans. The programme meant for the SMEs would also put focus on impact and imperatives of Government of India’s initiative to establish 100 technology centers at the cost of Rs 6000 crore.

Also, to bring their focus on the export market, which is still not tapped properly by SMEs, this initiative is expected to provide a suitable platform for them to present themselves properly to the global community as the programme will also be attended by various ambassadors, high commissioners and embassy officials who can open a new global window of opportunity for them. The programme has put its special focus on the SAARC nations too as SME delegation to South Asian countries Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and others would be attending this joint initiative.

The 30 CXOs would also discuss the credit problems that SMEs face here and how to solve this problem through advisory and facilitation support pertaining to raising finance, insurance, listing on SME Exchanges, Credit Rating and Compliances.
