WB class 10 Board Exam 2020: The West Bengal Madhyamik Class 10 exams started from Tuesday ie, February 18, 2020. According to the media reports, roughly around 10.5 Lakh students will be appearing for the WB Class 10 (Madhyamik) examinations. The examination will be conducted in 2,839 examination centres across the state.

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has stated that more than 56% of the total number of students appearing for the West Bengal Board examination are female students which is the highest number in recent times.

Reportedly, about 10,15,888 candidates will be appearing for the West Bengal Class 10 examinations from which 5,76,009 are girls.

WB Board Exam 2020 Exam Details:
The Secondary Board, the Madhyamik Exam for 10th Students is started from today ie, 18th February 2020. Similarly,  the Uccha Madhyamik Exam for 12th is scheduled to be held from 12th March 2020 to 27th March 2020. 

Interestingly, during this period, the West Bengal Pollution Control Board has imposed ban on use of loudspeakers to curb the noise pollution in residential areas and around educational institutions.

The decision has been taken to create and provide a study-oriented environment for the students until the exam session ends. This makes the ban applicable from February 15, 2020, to March 27 2020.  Apart from this other boards including UP Board has enforced similar measures, with UP Police even launching an anti-noise helpline for the students to provide conducive environment to the students for the board exam studies.
