The long wait for Monsoon rain in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR)is likely to end on Monday as the IMD has predicted that light showers will happen over the next three days.

So, despite the cloud cover currently over Delhi-NCR, the capital is unlikely to see rains. However on Monday, an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said that the sky will remain generally cloudy, but a light rain or drizzle is expected! The national capital is likely to receive light rain till Thursday, he revealed. This will come as a big relief for residents of Delhi and surrounding areas who have been suffering from the high heat and humidity for weeks now. 

Also, the private weather forecasting agency Skymet, Mahesh Palawat, Vice president Meteorology and Climate Change said, "Winds over Delhi and NCR have changed to easterly. We expect the weather to change and rains will commence by today evening. Intensity will increase gradually,"
